The Solihull Educational Psychology Service provides the following to parents and carers in support of their children and young people.
Consultation
- Duty Line – telephone discussions for parent and carers for concerns about children and young people relating to:
- school anxiety
- bullying
- at-risk of permanent exclusion from an education setting
- complex difficulties where thee are significant barriers to learning
- Face-to-face consultations for parent and carers in North Solihull by appointment in Children’s Centres (pilot)
Assessment
- Psychological advice for Statutory Assessment
- Contribute to Common Assessment Framework
- Children and young people with complex difficulties where there are significant barriers to learning
- Contribute to Meadow Centre Assessment with health professionals (pilot)
- School anxiety; bullying; at-risk of permanent exclusion from an education setting
Intervention
- Mellow Parenting
- Contribute to Common Assessment Framework and attend Team Around the Family meetings
- School anxiety; bullying; at-risk of permanent exclusion from an education setting

- Foster carer training
- Welcome to Nursery – transition workshops
