Solihull Neighbourhoods in Bloom 2013

Q. Who should enter?
A. Everyone!

THEME IT!

You could choose a theme for you and perhaps your neighbours to work to – anything goes from funny to thought provoking!  Anything to get people involved from the fun to the fabulous or what’s in the news.

EAT IT!

You can grow something fresh and edible; reduce your food miles; supplement your diet; grow your own ingredients; try something new and tasty.

COLOUR IT!

Make a colour coordinated display; choose a colour scheme or theme; go mad with seeds to make a rainbow or a colour mash-up.

RECYCLE IT!

What can you make out of waste and rubbish?  Old ceramics, mirrors, textiles, lampshades, boots, shoes, containers can all add to a creative outdoor display.  Show off a fabulous compost heap too!

MAKE IT OVER!

Take a grot spot and give it some TLC – show us your're before and after pictures!

LOVE IT!

Make and grow things to help birds and butterflies.  Love your street by adopting your highway trees and verges; help them out with water and TLC.

Categories

Street Category

We will be looking for evidence of good participation, having fun and making an impact.

Community Area Category

We will be looking for people working together on a communal outdoor space or garden. You could be residents; members of a club or society or a youth group – as long as you get the land owners permission!

Villages

If you have a defined boundary you can enter this category – it doesn’t even need to be a traditional village!

Schools

It’s well worth entering to gain recognition for your Eco club or to show off your great environmental projects!

All Categories

If in doubt please enter, it doesn’t matter if it's not perfect as there will be lots of prizes for effort and imagination!
