Temporary Traffic Regulation Orders

These are used to cover temporary events such as road works or if a road is to be closed for a period of time for events such as a community celebration or a carnival.

A temporary TRO could last for as long as 18 months and there is no right of objection. Emergency TRO's can also be brought into force immediately if the Council considers there is a potential danger to road users and/or the general public.
