Information on Council car park parking fines.

Our parking services staff always aim to enforce the Road Traffic Act 1991 (as amended) fairly and equitably within our car parks.
We believe that effective parking enforcement benefits public transport users, pedestrians, cyclists and responsible drivers.
The Parking Services team maintain ticket machines and meters within Council car parks as well as the signs and infrastructure of off-street and on-street car parking, to make sure parking bays are always available and safe to use.
The team also aims to handle all enquiries in a courteous and helpful manner and respond to all written representations about Penalty Charge Notices.

We will not be able to discuss an appeal against a Penalty Charge Notice or any issues arising from the issue of a Penalty Charge Notice. For this you must Follow the standard appeals process. Please do not send any appeals to this email address.
Please note that we are only responsible for a fraction of all car parking within the Borough, the majority of which are owned and operated by external organisations.
Independent car park operators will have their own procedures. Please read the instructions on the parking ticket carefully, this will explain how and when you will need to pay your ticket by.
Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council parking services does not operate any clamping or removal services.
How do I pay my Car Park Fine?
You can pay your car parking fine in any of the following ways:
- by credit/debit card, you can pay online with a credit/debit card
- In Person - By Cash, Cheque or Card at Solihull Connect walk-in centres
- by cheque or postal order - payable to Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council and posted to Corporate Directorate of Resources, PO Box 19, Council House, Solihull, B91 9QT, please quote the excess charge no. on the back of the cheque
Please send or produce the Penalty Charge Notice when making payment by post or in person.
Please pay promptly.
