Animals - dead
The Council provides a free service for the removal of dead animals from all public accessible areas.
Will the Council remove dead animals from private land?
Solihull Council can only remove dead animals from council land, ie parks; and Solihull Community Housing communal spaces.
If the dead animal is on private land, its removal is the responsibility of the landowner. If the dead animal is on council land, please complete the Request for Collection of Dead Animal form.
If the dead animal is a badger, and is on private land, please complete the Request for Collection of Dead Animal form; we cannot remove the animal but we will inform the local Ecologist of all reported dead badgers.
All dead animals will be removed within 4 hours of notification and conveyed to an approved disposal point.
What about removal of dead pets?
If the animal was your pet, your local vet may be able to remove the animal. You can search for the telephone number of your local vet at http://www.yell.com/.
