Grass cutting
We cut grass to ensure people can use roads and pavements safely. Although environmental issues are of paramount concern, grass cutting is actually carried out for highway safety reasons rather than environmental purposes.Frequently Asked Questions
How often should the grass be cut?
We normally operate a two-week rota for the maintenance of council-maintained grass, i.e. on grass verges, pavements/footpaths or in parks/open spaces/communal gardens
The service is provided through the winter months dependent on growing and ground conditions.
How do I report a problem?
If you wish to report a missed grass cut, please complete the form below.
The grass will be cut within 72 hours of notification (excluding weekends and Bank Holidays) but is dependant on weather, access and substantial dog fouling.
