Pilot Residents Parking Permit Scheme- Kilsby Grove, Austcliff Drive, Sevington Close and Thorngrove Avenue, Hillfield
The Metropolitan Borough of Solihull (Austcliff Drive, Kilsby Grove, Sevington Close and Thorngrove Avenue, Solihull) (Restriction of Waiting/Residents Parking Permit) Order 2009 came into force on 1st March 2010. The Order effectively puts in place a waiting restriction, which exists between the hours of 9am to 11am and 2pm to 3pm, Monday to Friday except for permit holders.
Residents of Kilsby Grove, Austcliff Drive, Sevington Close and Thorngrove Avenue can apply to the Council for either a resident or visitor permit, which allows them to park during the above hours of restriction. To cover the administration costs of the scheme, a charge is made for the permit. Special permits, such as for health care workers, are available free of charge when supported by the appropriate application.
Further Residents Parking Permit Schemes
The issue of further residents parking permit schemes was discussed by the Neighbourhood Services Scrutiny Board in March 2011. Following feedback from Members, Officers are currently undertaking further work before presenting a final report to a future decision making session of the Cabinet Member for Transport and Highways. No further residents parking permit schemes will be progressed until after this report has been considered.
