Local Access Forum
The Local Access Forum (LAF) is a statutory body and a requirement of the Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000. A joint Forum was established which advises Warwickshire County Council, Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council and Coventry City Council. The forum meet approximately 3 times a year and have a strategic role in advising the Authorities on rights of way and wider public access to the countryside issues, not just through the statutory rights of way improvement plan but also on other council agendas, for example health, tourism and sustainable transport. The LAF will have the opportunity to scrutinise the activities of all bodies in the area, which have a role in delivering access to the countryside.
