Company TravelWise
We are members of the National TravelWise Association and have access to all information dealing with sustainable travel.
Company TravelWise is the model being used by all the West Midlands Local Authorities to help businesses prepare Travel Plans.
In Solihull, members of Company TravelWise sign the Company TravelWise Pledge which commits the company:-
"to work towards reducing the environmental and congestion impacts of our organisation's transport activities with particular reference to employee travel"
Membership is free and companies are asked to create a travel plan and consider practical solutions for employee travel other than car. Initiatives to consider -
- Public Transport - discounted tickets
- Car share scheme
- Pool cars
- Pool bikes
- Cycle storage and showers/lockers
- Homeworking policy
- Video conferencing
