Solihull UDP Unitary Development Plan

The UDP is the Council’s statutory land use plan which designates land to meet the Borough’s housing and business requirements, contains policies on a range of issues to guide and control development and designates Green Belt.

The Solihull Unitary Development Plan (UDP) was adopted in February 2006.

The UDP 2006 comprises:

  • Written Statement (see attachments )
  • Sustainability Appraisal (see attachments )
  • Explanatory leaflet (see attachments)
  • Proposals Map - PDF version (see attachments)
  • Proposals Map. The proposals contained in the Solihull UDP 2006 are set out on the Interactive Proposals Map.

In February 2009 the Secretary of State made a direction confirming that most of the UDP policies will remain in place until they are replaced. A list of saved and expired policies and proposals is attached.
