Business Grant Schemes

The Government has announced a range of funding packages to support businesses impacted by Covid-19. The support provided varies depending on the alert level of each Local Authority area. Support will be provided to those businesses in Tier 2, Tier 3 and during the national lockdown.

  • Solihull was placed into Tier 2 on Wednesday 14 October 2020
  • Solihull was in National lockdown from Thursday 5 November 2020 to 2 December
  • Solihull will be in Tier 3 from 3 December 2020 until advised otherwise

We are awaiting further Government clarification on grant eligibility for the Tier 3 scheme, further details will be on our website in the coming days.

Tier 2 Business Grant Funding

For businesses effected from 14 October to 4 November 2020

The Government provided additional funding to support businesses in high-alert areas which were not legally closed but were severely impacted by the localised restrictions on socialising under Tier 2 that were put in place to manage Covid-19.

If you are in the hospitality sector, hotel, B&B, and leisure businesses you can check if you are eligible and apply for funding.

Nightclubs and Hostess bars

The Government provided further funding to support businesses that have been required to close on a national basis since 23 March 2020 due to restrictions being put in place to control the spread of Covid-19.

This includes nightclubs, dance halls, discotheques, sexual entertainment venues and hostess bars. If you are in this sector, we will identify if you are eligible and contact you. If eligible you will receive a payment from 1 November to 4 November.

Discretionary Business Grant Scheme

There is a fixed application window for this scheme. The closing date for applications is 1 December

The Government is providing further funding to offer help to those businesses which - while not legally forced to close, are nonetheless severely impacted by the restrictions put in place to control the spread of Covid-19.

This scheme is for businesses that are not eligible for the other grant schemes but have been impacted by the restrictions in place.
