On 14 May the Minister of State for Care required all local authorities to submit a care home support plan. The Minister asked local authority Chief Executives Officers to work with local partners to agree a response consisting of:
- a letter setting out a short overview of current activity and forward plan;
- a template confirming the current level of access to the support offer; and confirmation that local authorities are carrying out a daily review of the local care market and taking actions immediately, where necessary, to support it
You can read Solihull’s response, submitted on Friday 29 May, by clicking on the links above. The appendix sets out the current support offer to Solihull care homes. Further suggestions are invited from care home providers.
In addition you can read this summary of the support provided by the Council to adult social care providers to meet the additional costs and challenges presented by Covid-19. The information in the document is correct as at Friday 29 May. The document will be updated so please check this page regularly.
