Home library service

Coronavirus

All Solihull Libraries will be closed from the evening of Wednesday 4 November for browsing and PC access.

The library service will offer the ‘Click and Collect’ service that operated earlier this year, whereby customers can order books online or by telephone to collect at a pre-arranged time from some libraries across the borough.

From Thursday 5 November the following library sites will be offering Click and Collect:

Our COVID-19 page can help you understand the changes when visiting a library and see what other services are available.

If you are unable to leave your home or:

  • cannot travel to your local library
  • cannot carry items to and from the library
  • care for someone who is unable to leave their home

then the home library service might be just what you are looking for.

The service is free of charge and offers a wide range of:

  • books, many in large print
  • audiobooks
  • CDs
  • MP3s

When you get in touch we'll find out what kind of books you enjoy, so that we can do our best to bring you the kind of books you would choose for yourself, and then we visit you every 4 weeks with a new selection.

To find out more, and for information on how to apply, read our home library service leaflet.
