Some of our brown recycling bins are splitting and becoming unusable. If your brown bin has split you can request a free replacement.
Replacing bins and boxes is an expensive cost to the council so please take care of your containers by keeping them in a safe place and putting your house number or name on them.
If you have moved into an existing house and there are no bins or if this is your first replacement within 24 months we will provide your container free of charge. If you have already had a replacement within the last 24 months you will need to pay a small fee.
Any damaged bins will only be replaced if they are unserviceable and not useable.

Did you know that we will collect extra recycling if it is placed out at the side of your brown bin? Extra recycling can be placed in sturdy plastic boxes (similar to the black box), hessian bags or jute bags for life.

You can buy extra garden waste services such as another green wheelie bin or extra collections throughout the normal collection season and/or during the winter months when collections usually stop.

If your household meets the criteria for children in nappies we will only provide extra sacks in place of a larger bin.
These sacks are to last you 12 months and you cannot reapply in this time period for more.

If you have a large household items such as a piece of furniture or a fridge you wish to dispose of, we offer a chargeable bulky waste collection service.
If you have unwanted furniture which is in good condition you could donate it to charity.
If you are buying new white goods (such as fridges and freezers or even large items of furniture) speak to your new supplier and see if they can remove your old item. It is your responsibility to dispose of your unwanted items in a lawful and responsible way.
We offer assisted collections for people who have no-one to help put out their bins out and are physically unable to do so themselves.
We do not operate a clinical waste collection service. You can find out what waste we can and cannot collect.
