Solihull Council is looking for more foster carers to give children across the borough the secure and stable home they deserve.

Just as there is no typical child there is no typical foster carer. We welcome all enquiries from people who are married, single or in a long term relationship. You don’t need to be a home owner, just have a spare bedroom for a child.

Social workers work closely with foster carers, offering training and advice. Support is available 24 hours a day and foster carers receive a competitive allowance for each child fostered.

Children who are cared for on a full-time basis by people who are not direct relatives are in a private fostering arrangement. Find further information regarding private fostering on our fostering and adoption page.
