On Thursday 4 May 2023, voters in Solihull went to the polls for the local council elections and in some areas, voters could vote in parish council elections as well.
The turnout across the Borough for the local election was 30.26%.

Voter ID
For the first time, voters were required to show photograph identification in polling stations. The following figures have been submitted to the Electoral Commission to assist in the evaluation of the new voter ID requirements:
