Coronavirus

Following the recent guidance from the Government and its Public Health experts regarding the Covid-19 virus, Solihull Council has reluctantly taken the decision to cancel its events planned for our parks and Solihull town centre until further notice.

The first to be affected are the following:

  • Easter Egg Hunt, scheduled to take place in Elmdon Park on Thursday 9 April
  • Dizzy Duck Race, due to take place in Babb’s Mill LNR on Wednesday 15 April
  • VE Day 75 Party in the Park, due to take place in Shirley Park on Saturday 9 May

Any other Council-run events due to take place during the summer are also cancelled. 

Some organisations and community groups have also cancelled their events in the parks or town centre, although others are continuing to monitor the situation before making a final decision.

Fun in the Park

Tudor Grange Park, B91 3LU, 11.00am – 5.00pm

The annual charity fundraising event, now in its 14th year, returns.  Organised by the Soroptimists and featuring entertainment including a dog show and classic car show, along with a packed programme of performances from talented local dancers and musicians in the main arena, this event is fun for all the family!  Local organisations will also have stalls at the event.  Entrance cost is £7.50 per family (two adults and up to four children), £3 per adult and £2 per child under 16.  For more information, visit www.funinthepark-solihull.co.uk or email info@funinthepark.co.uk
