Spot the sugar and spice artwork in shop windows to solve the Fairtrade Trail.

To crack the code you'll need to download a Trail Sheet and follow the clues around Solihull Town Centre. Trail Sheets are also available at The Core Library.

Kingshurst Literary Litter Pickers

Kingshurst Library, Kingshurst - 10.30am to 12.00pm

The Kingshurst Literary Litter Pickers were set up in mid-2018 and meet once a month to litter-pick the Parade and areas around Kingshurst and St Anthony’s Schools. The group is keen for parents and particularly primary aged children to get involved, as well as all members of our community.  The sessions are hosted in the library to promote their services. The Country Diary in Song with Broomdasher

The Olton Project, (formerly the United Reform Church) Kineton Green Road

The premiere of a new musical show, celebrating Solihull author Edith Holden, who lived in Olton and wrote ‘The Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady’.  The show is the centrepiece of a weekend of events commemorating the centenary of her death and takes place in the former church which she and her family used to attend.  Tickets at £9.00 (£7.00 concessions) are available in person from The Core Theatre Box Office, on line at www.thecoretheatresolihull.co.uk or from 0121 704 6962.

Olton Library Literary Litter Pickers

Meet at Olton Library - 10.30am to 11.30am

Talking Rubbish in Solihull was created to promote a litter-free borough through positive action. Monthly litter picks are currently taking part in Olton, so volunteers can help to litter pick the local area for an hour before returning to the library for tea or coffee and biscuits. All equipment and bags are provided and a full briefing given. Castle Bromwich Historic Gardens, B36 9BT, 12.00pm to 3.00pm

Castle Bromwich Historic Gardens opens its 10 acres of formal gardens fortnightly on Sundays until April for relaxed Sunday saunters.  Come along for some fresh air and gentle exercise.
