Bishop Wilson Primary School to temporarily close as a precaution

The school leadership team took the decision to close in order to undertake a deep clean, as a precaution only, in the best interests of pupils and staff. 

This follows a member of staff coming into contact with an individual who has Coronavirus. The member of staff has not displayed any symptoms and it remains the case that there are no confirmed cases of Coronavirus in Solihull.

The staff member has called 111, and is following medical advice.

The school plans to open as normal on Monday 9 March.

Widney Manor Cemetery to open on weekdays as restrictions start to ease

Solihull Council will open Widney Manor Cemetery on weekdays, 4 – 6pm, from Monday 1 June.  The council took the decision in line with government guidance and after monitoring the situation.

“Please take your litter home”

The Leader of Solihull Council has asked local residents to respect Solihull’s parks and open spaces and take their litter home with them after the borough experienced an increase in littering over recent weekends.
