Nominations are now open for the Solihull Civic Honours Awards 2023! The awards give residents a chance to recognise local unsung heroes who go above and beyond to make Solihull a better place.

Solihull Council is organising a careers fair with Solihull College and University Centre’s Health and Social Care department on Tuesday 7 March to connect local care providers with people looking to pursue a career in care.

Young people will have the chance to learn about apprenticeship opportunities when the Solihull Apprenticeship Show returns next month.

Solihull Council is encouraging people to take part in the first Social Care Day of Remembrance and Reflection on Thursday 17 March. Set up by national charities this is an opportunity to say thank you to everyone who works in adult social care.

This week, the Mayor hosted the finalists of his Christmas card design competition for children in Solihull for refreshments and prize giving. The winning designs will be proudly distributed as the official Mayoral Christmas greetings cards for 2021.

Solihull Libraries, The Core Theatre Solihull and Art at the Heart CIC have teamed up to create Solihull Reading Friends – a programme of free events designed to help people connect and combat feelings of loneliness and isolation.
