If you wish to place a skip on any part of the highway a permit is required from us.

Apply
Applications must be made by the skip hire company no less than 2 clear working days before the skip is to be deposited.
We advise you to read the guidance notes before applying.
Fee
- from 1 April 2025 - £85.00 (no VAT payable) per skip, per calendar month
Skip Operator Registration
If you operate a skip hire business or own skips, you need a permit from us to place a skip on a public road.
You will need adequate public liability insurance and be a registered waste carrier.
