The Director of Public Health (DPH) has a statutory duty to write an annual public health report to demonstrate the state of health within their communities.
The reports are not just an annual review of public health outcomes and activity. The DPH annual report informs stakeholders of priorities and recommended actions to improve and protect the health of the communities they serve. It can also:
- identify important issues
- identify problems
- report progress
