Early Help

Early Help is about families receiving the right support at the right time to help address issues before they escalate.

For safeguarding concerns, such as if a child is at risk of being harmed, please call the Solihull Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) on 0121 788 4300.

We have several services to support families including:

  • Family Helpline
  • Family Support Workers
  • drop in sessions
  • parenting programmes
  • professional support with assessments and plans
  • Family Hubs

Family Helpline

The Family Helpline is a free phone line for families and professionals in Solihull to access support for parents and children.

Our dedicated team can provide advice, support and signposting if you need help with:

  • parenting guidance
  • child development
  • support to encourage school attendance
  • managing conflict
  • tips for managing child behavioural issues
  • ensuring health and emotional wellbeing needs are being met

Our helpline is open:

  • Monday to Thursday from 9:00am to 4:30pm
  • Friday from 9:00am to 4:00pm

Family Information Service

The Family Information Service offers information, advice and guidance on a wide range of services including childcare, activities and support services as well as funded childcare places and free school meals.
