Specialist support
Not all children who have a social communication need will require an external or school/ MAT based specialist to be part of the Team Around their Child (TAC). Or they may step in and out of the TAC depending on the child or young person’s needs a t any point in time. Specialists who can offer advice and support for children and young people with social communication needs include:
- Health Visitors
- Solihull Council Early Years Team
- NHS Speech and Language Therapy Service (SaLT)
- SISS Communication and Learning Difficulties Team
- Speech Language or Social emotional and Mental health Team
- SISS Speech Language and Communication Disorders Team
- SISS Autism Team
- Solihull Educational Psychology Service
- Specialist Assessment Service Pathway
