All our polling stations are accessible and have a dedicated area for residents who might need:
- additional support to vote
- an area of privacy to carry out a voter ID check

If you require additional support to vote, we offer a range of help depending on your needs.
Mobility impairment
If you have limited mobility, we can provide assistance such as:
- a voting booth that is wheelchair friendly
- a chair to be used while voting
- pencils with additional grip
- help to mark your ballot paper
Visual impairment
If you have a visual impairment, we can provide assistance such as:
- enlarged printed ballot paper
- braille voting device
- audio description of the candidates by scanning a QR code
- magnifying glass
- LED light
- pencils with additional grip
- audio voting device (McGonagle Reader) - booking recommended
- help to mark your ballot paper
Hearing impairment
If you have a hearing impairment, we can provide assistance such as:
- reduced background noise
- visual clues and clear written instructions
- face-to-face communication with polling staff
- help to mark your ballot paper
Neurodiversity
If you are neurodivergent, we can offer assistance such as:
- a polling station passport which can be printed at home and taken to your polling station to let staff know you would like help to vote
- space to take your time to vote
- pencils with additional grip
- help to mark your ballot paper

Request audio tactile voting devices
We have a limited supply of audio tactile voting devices (McGonagle Readers), so we recommend that you request it before polling day.
If you make a request at your polling station on election day, you may have to wait if someone else is already using it.
We will send you a confirmation of your request as soon as we can.
