Fairgrounds and fireworks
In the UK, fairground safety is regulated by the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).
The HSE provide information that help to keep fairgrounds safe, whether you are a:
- fair organiser
- ride controller employer
- self-employed fairground ride operator
- member of the public
Ride operators must ensure that their equipment has a valid Declaration of Operational Compliance (DOC). The inspection must have been completed through a recognised scheme such as:
- ADIPS (Amusement Device Inspection Procedures Scheme)
- PIPA (Peripatetic Inflatable Play Accreditation).
Fairgrounds in Solihull
Fairgrounds are only allowed at:
- Tudor Grange Park

Fireworks
Fireworks are a highlight of many celebrations across the UK, including Bonfire Night, Diwali, Hogmanay and Chinese New Year.
Fireworks must be used responsibly to ensure the safety of:
- spectators

Anyone organising a fireworks display should follow relevant safety guidance, use competent operators where appropriate, and follow legal requirements relating to the storage, sale and use of fireworks.
