All Solihull libraries close on bank holidays.

Christmas and New Year library closures

Some of our libraries will have different opening hours over Christmas.

Tuesday 23 December 2025

• Dickens Heath Library will be closed between 2:00pm and 5:00pm
• Hampton-in-Arden Library will be closed between 2:00pm and 5:00pm
• Knowle Library at Knowle Royal British Legion will be closed between 10:00am and 12:00pm
• Meriden Library will be closed between 10:00am and 12:30pm

Saturday 27 December 2025

• Balsall Common Library will be closed between 10:00am and 1:00pm
• Hobs Moat Library will be closed between 10:00am and 1:00pm
• Knowle Library at Knowle Royal British Legion will be closed between 10:00am and 12:30pm 

Monday 29th December 2025

• Meriden Library will be closed between 10:00am and 5:00pm

Saturday 3 January 2026

• Dickens Heath Library will be closed between 10:00am and 2:00pm
• Marston Green Library will be closed between 10:00am and 1:00pm

Knowle Library - Temporary Closure

To allow for essential roof replacement works to take place, Knowle Library is now closed. We expect to reopen during January 2026.

During the closure, we will be offering a reduced library service at The Knowle British Legion:

• Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00am to 12:00pm
• Saturday from 10:00am to 12:30pm

We do not charge fines but do ask you to return your items for other residents to use.
