Solihull Council has launched the second phase of their consultation on the future governance arrangements in Balsall and Berkswell.
Earlier this year, the Council invited residents to share their views on Balsall and Berkswell Parish Council’s joint request to merge into one.
Following initial feedback, the Council has published three draft proposals for consideration by residents:
- Option A – Merge the two parish councils and create four parish wards
- Option B – Alter the current boundary to the existing railway line (West Coast Main Line)
- Option C – Continue with the existing arrangements
Solihull Council is asking the public to share their view by 23:59 on Sunday 1 February 2026.
In January 2026, the Council will also be hosting a public drop-in event to answer any questions about their proposals. The event, which will be hosted at Berkswell and Balsall Common Tennis Club on Wednesday 7 January 2026, is open to all and attendees can drop in any time between 4pm and 7pm.
