Celebrating the Completion of New Facilities at St Peter’s

On Wednesday 7 October St Peter’s Catholic School officially opened a new two-storey block designed to provide modern dining facilities, additional teaching classrooms, and essential support and other spaces. These improvements will enable the school to deliver additional places and maintain flexibility in meeting short-term demand for school places the borough.

The project also included the building of a new Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA), offering enhanced opportunities for physical education and extracurricular activities for the school and wider community. This facility will promote health and wellbeing through sport for pupils and local residents alike.

The work was jointly funded by Solihull Council and Our Lady and All Saints Multi Academy Company (MAC), reflecting a strong partnership approach to education provision. The work was carried out by E Manton Limited. 

This development forms part of the Council’s ongoing strategy to ensure there are enough school places and provide flexible solutions to meet the needs of families in Solihull. Investment in modern facilities will allow schools like St Peter’s to thrive and continue to deliver outstanding education for years to come.

Councillor Karen Grinsell, Leader of Solihull Council and Lead Member for Children’s Services and Education welcomed the completion of the construction – 

“This is a stunning facility that really improves the experience the pupils. The modern classrooms are a great learning environment and the dining space is absolutely fantastic. Thank you to everyone involved in making this project a success, including our own Strategic Land & Property team and all those from the School and MAC.
