Citizens Advice Solihull Borough (CASB) has been awarded a multi-year contract to deliver community information and advice services across Solihull.
Following a robust and competitive tender process, Solihull Council has selected CASB as its chosen provider to deliver the new service from 1 October 2026. The current provider will continue to deliver the existing service until this date.
The new service will deliver free, independent advice and practical support to residents across the borough, supporting on a wide range of issues, including welfare benefits, debt, housing, the cost of living, mental health, disability, adult social care, health and immigration.
Residents will be able to access advice across all 17 wards of Solihull. This approach combines regular advice sessions with targeted outreach in response to local demand and emerging need, and will be delivered from trusted and accessible locations including libraries, GP surgeries, community centres, colleges, faith venues and other local settings.
To deliver the service, CASB has brought together a partnership of trusted organisations already delivering impact in the community. Shelter will provide expert housing advice and homelessness prevention support, while Gateway Family Services will deliver health and wellbeing support, including health checks. The Colebridge Trust will strengthen community engagement and improve access to trusted community venues, and Entraide will support migrants, refugees and newly arrived communities through immigration information, advice and guidance, alongside supported referral pathways.
The service will be delivered under the Council's Here2Help brand, with an official launch planned in the coming months. Further details about the new service, including how residents can access support, will be announced as part of the launch.
