Residents are being invited to join two free events in October which can help them plan for later life and make good decisions early.
Solihull Council is hosting the free drop-in events on Friday 9 October at The Loft in Chelmsley Wood, and on Monday 12 October at The Core Library in Solihull town centre.
The events offer the chance to talk to local experts about a range of topics including finances and planning, vaccinations and health, and housing and care choices.
Councillor Tony Dicicco, cabinet member for Adult Social Care and Health, said:
"Later life will look a little different for us all, but we all need to plan and prepare for it.
"You might not know what things to consider when thinking about your later years, or you might be looking for tailored advice on a certain topic such as care options or staying independent in your own home.
"Whatever it is, we've put these events on to help you plan for your own later life – or that or a parent or a loved one – with confidence.
"Everybody is welcome and there is no need to book, just drop in and speak to our friendly stallholders. We look forward to seeing you there!"
Both events will include stalls from local experts including teams from the Council, NHS, Age UK Solihull, and Carers Trust Solihull, and more.
The first event takes place on Friday 9 October, from 12:00pm – 5:00pm, at The Loft, in Bluebell, Chelmsley Wood, B37 5TN (located above ASDA, on the 2nd floor).
The second event takes place on Monday 12 October, from 12:30pm – 3:30pm, at The Core Library in Solihull town centre, B91 3RG.
