I’ve got quite a bit to talk about this week, but you might notice there is no big central theme. Usually, I pick one topic to go into detail about but this time I want to share the spotlight around.
For the second year running, Malvern Park in Solihull town centre has welcomed another stunning flowerbed designed by the talented students from Newlands Bishop Farm.
The Met Office have issued an Amber heat health alert across the West Midlands from 10am on Monday 30 June until until 9am on Wednesday 2 July, raising and extending the Yellow warning that was issued last week.
On Monday 23 June, the Mayor of Solihull, Councillor Annette Mackenzie, was joined by members of the public and local dignitaries, to be the first to officially walk Solihull’s new Military History Trail.
Solihull Family Hubs are launching a new outreach hub located in Meriden.
Whilst not a dedicated Family Hub building, the outreach hub based at Meriden Church of England Primary School will provide yet another support and activity site for children and families in Solihull.
Solihull Council is consulting on its new taxi and private hire licensing policy and would like to hear from taxi and private hire drivers, operators and vehicle proprietors within Solihull and outside the borough. The council would also like to hear from anyone who uses taxis and private hire vehicles or who may be affected by any of the proposed changes.
