Allotments

Allotment gardening provides huge benefits to the green-fingered as well as the local community. A great way to grow your own food, get fit and stay healthy, it also helps local wildlife flourish.

Our allotments in Solihull

With allotment gardening proving incredibly popular at the moment, many of our sites have 100% tenancy. You can view availability and current waiting lists for our Solihull Council managed sites.

You must live within the Borough or within 1 mile of the site you are applying for to qualify for a plot.

After you view our map of allotment sites you can join our allotment waiting list for up to 2 sites at a time, we'll contact you when a plot becomes available.

Plots are available at some sites, please email parksmanagement@solihull.gov.uk for availability.

A little more information about allotments

Allotment gardening is somewhat of a British institution and we're more than happy to provide quality sites, as is a statutory requirement. A great way for families and individuals to grow their own organic food, they're also wonderful areas for socialising, enjoying local wildlife and providing:

  • low cost food
  • organic fruit
  • home grown flowers
  • recreational space
  • healthy activity
  • social space
  • wildlife habitation
