Lime e-bikes

Pay-as-you-go e-bikes are available for hire in Solihull.

Lime has been appointed by the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) as the new provider of battery-assisted pedal bikes in the region. 

How to access Lime e-bikes

E-bikes are available in existing docking stations or located using the map in the Lime app. The app can be downloaded for free from:

You can unlock a Lime e-bike either through: 

  • the Lime app
  • the Uber app

The pay-as-you-go e-bikes cost £1 to unlock, then 20p per minute. 

You can also buy discounted bundles through the Lime app.

Riders must be aged 18 or over.

Where do Lime e-bikes work in Solihull

Lime e-bikes work within a designated service zone, as set out on the Lime app.  

Battery assistance will cut out if you ride:

  • outside of the zone
  • within a No Operations Zone - this is shown on the app

How to park Lime e-bikes

All Lime e-bikes must be parked at specific, designated locations, as set out on the Lime app. This helps ensure that parking is safe and responsible. 

Riders failing to park appropriately may be fined up to £20.
