Council Carbon Plan

Alongside our Climate Change Action Plan, we are also committed to making sure the Council is net zero by 2030. 

The Council Carbon Plan outlines how the Council intends to build on the previous decade’s achievements which have seen Council emissions reduce by over 45% since 2019/2020. 

Success so far has been down to:

• the switch to LED street lighting
• reductions in emissions from our waste collection services
• continual improvements to our buildings through energy efficiency works and responsible management

Greenhouse Gas Emissions Report 

The methodology for reporting greenhouse gas emissions has been updated.
