Electric Vehicles

You’re probably well aware that from 2030 the government has banned the sale of new petrol and diesel cars. Advances in electric vehicle (EV) technology have come on leaps and bounds over the past decade, particularly when it comes to battery range and performance. As a council, we’re already planning for the future by ramping up installations of EV charging points across the borough, helping drivers charge their vehicles where they normally park them. It’s important to remember the EV transition extends far wider than just cars however, with electric buses regularly spotted on Solihull streets and electric moped trials recently having taken place.
