Marston Green Library temporary closure

Due to essential floor works, Marston Green Library will be temporarily closed from Saturday 7 March until Monday 20 April 2026. 

While the library building is closed, a reduced service will operate every Thursday at:

Land Lane

It will be open between:

  • 10:00am and 1:00pm
  • 2:00pm and 5:00pm

At The Free Baptist Church you will be able to:

  • browse a selection of books
  • speak with library staff
  • get help with reservations and general library enquiries

Public computers and printing facilities will not be available. If you wish to access these services, the nearest library is Chemsley Wood Library.

Normal opening hours

Marston Green Library will be open at the following times until Thursday 5 March 2026:

  • Monday and Thursday from 10:00am to 1:00pm and 2:00pm to 5:00pm
  • Saturday from 10:00am to 1:00pm

These opening hours will resume on Tuesday 21 April 2026 when the main library reopens.

All Solihull libraries close on Bank Holidays.

Please note, access to library computers ends 15 minutes before the library closes, at lunchtime and at the end of the day.

Travelling to the library

Marston Green Library is next to the NHS Land Lane Clinic and is signposted from Elmdon Lane. There is a small car park in front of the library, one behind the library, and on-street parking. 

Bus routes: 72 which goes onto Chelmsley Wood. The nearest stop is the Station Interchange, about 10 minutes' walk.

The nearest railway station is Marston Green. From the station, walk up Station Road then down Land Lane, or cross the railway bridge and walk along Elmdon Lane until you reach Land Lane.
