Nature of work
- Assess entitlement to discretionary help from the Household Support Fund
- Provide a range of assistance to households at risk of crisis, through the provision of:
- Financial grants
- Food vouchers
- Pre-payment meter vouchers
- Debt relief on energy bills
- White goods and other household essentials
- Items that can assist with winter warmth
- Collect and process information for the administration of the Household Support Fund, including evidence of compliance with the grant conditions with the
- Department for Work and Pensions.
We need your information:
- To enable us to assess your eligibility for help via the Household Support Fund
- To process financial transactions including grants, payments and other assistance on behalf the Department for Works and Pensions
- For the prevention and/or detection of crime including fraud
- To identify households that are at a significant risk of experiencing financial hardship and crisis
- For general processing where you have given your consent for us to do so
Where relevant we process a variety of information relating to individuals including:
- personal details
- contact details
- household details
- financial details
- employment details
- immigration Status
We process information about:
- People and households being provided with help through the Household Support Fund
- Performance information derived from anonymised data for monitoring purposes
Where necessary or required we share information with:
- Department for Work and Pensions
- Council departments responsible for administering the Household Support Fund
- Solihull Community Housing
- Commissioned providers, administering the Household Support Fund in Solihull
We will not keep your information any longer than needed. The length of time will be dependent on the duration of the delivery of the Household Support Fund or similar government funded schemes.
