Would you like to play an active role in shaping the future of adult social care in Solihull? Your everyday lived experiences of adult social care services can be used to make them better.
There are two projects you can get involved in now. You can also register your interest in other topics which will come up in the future.
NEW carers’ forum
Help us improve services for family carers in Solihull by joining our carers’ forum. We are looking for at least 50 people with current experience of caring for a family member or friend to join the forum.
To register your interest, please complete the Help us improve services for carers form on the Council's engagement platform.
NEW Autism Partnership Board
We’re looking for autistic adults and carers of autistic adults to join a new partnership board and use your experience to help improve health and social care services for autistic adults in the borough.
To register your interest you can email us at getinvolved@solihull.gov.uk or complete the Register your interest form on the Council's engagement platform and select Autism Partnership Board.
As well as these current projects, we need people who use our services, including carers, to get involved in other projects and strategies that will need real-life experience and knowledge. If you arrange and pay for your own care, we are particularly keen to involve you too.
You can tell us which topics you are interested in and the level of involvement you want to have. We will invite you to join us as relevant projects come up.

The link will take you to the Get Involved project on the Council’s engagement platform, Your Voice Solihull. There you’ll find more information including frequently asked questions and our Get Involved strategy which sets out the shared approach to adult social care we want you to be a part of.
If you prefer to register your interest in person please contact our Engagement Team by emailing getinvolved@solihull.gov.uk or ask for a Get Involved registration form at our libraries or community advice hubs.
Partnership boards
Partnership boards bring together Solihull residents with experience and knowledge about the needs and aspirations of all who use our services, to promote awareness and respect and to discover new ways to influence support. We welcome people with lived experience as active and equal partners on our partnership boards.
- Carers Partnership Board: meets every two months, usually on a Monday.
- Learning Disability Partnership Board: meets every three months.
- Autism Partnership Board: read more about this new board and the first meeting in September 2024.
Provider Engagement Network
The Solihull Adult Social Care Provider Engagement Network is an online space for care providers and the Council’s adult social care commissioners to share ideas, highlight good practice and discuss local and national issues and changes.
To join or find out more about any of our partnership boards or engagement networks please email us at getinvolved@solihull.gov.uk
