Information on the Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP) which is additional funding for early years settings to improve the education they provide for eligible under fives.
The Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP) is additional funding for early years settings to enhance the education they provide for eligible children from 9 months up to 4 years old.
An early years providers/setting is any organisation offering education for children aged under 5, including nurseries, schools and childminders.
Children must receive free early education in order to attract EYPP funding. They do not have to take up the full 570 hours of early education they are entitled to in order to get EYPP.
Children from 9 months up to 4 years old who are receiving early education will attract EYPP funding if they meet at least 1 of the following criteria:
