About Pride in Place
People living in Chelmsley Wood East will see the benefits of up to £20M investment in their community over the next ten years.
While the boundary of the Pride In Place area is still to be decided (by the Neighbourhood Board when it is formed) it is likely to be based on the new Chelmsley Wood Ward boundary:
The investment is being funded as part of a government initiative called Pride in Place which helps residents, businesses and community groups to deliver real improvements that matter to local people, with a clear vision for their area. The programme aims to:
- regenerate town centres
- improve public spaces
- enhance community assets
- restore pride in local communities
