Become the new Chair of Solihull Employment & Skills Board

We are seeking to appoint a new Chair to lead our Employment & Skills Board and drive forward priorities in Solihull by working collaboratively with other members of the board from across the private and public sectors.

We are looking for a strategic leader with excellent communication skills to identify and deliver employment and skills priorities to shape the workforce in Solihull. You will work with a diverse group of stakeholders to develop a strategic vision for the board that is committed to empowering local residents in Solihull with the skills that meet the needs of employers as well as influencing emerging policies and trends for skills development and employment support.

Applicants must be from the private sector to ensure the board is employer-led. This voluntary role leads quarterly meetings in-person, and attends preparatory discussion with Solihull Council Employment and Skills Team. Attendance at additional task and finish groups may be necessary over the two-year term.
