Landlords and managing agents operating in Solihull can receive free advice and support at Solihull Council’s upcoming landlord forum.
Solihull Landlord Forum is free to attend and provides an opportunity to learn about best practice and legislative changes, meet with the Council’s housing team and ask questions, and network with other landlords.
The session will spotlight the upcoming Renters' Rights Bill, with insights from legal and industry experts including FBC Manby Bowdler Partner and commercial litigation specialist Gareth Ruddock, and Alana Davies from The National Residential Landlords Association (NRLA).
There will also be advice from the Council and a Q&A on changes in Energy Performance Certificate standards and the energy efficiency grants available, benefit processing, private-sector leasing, and enforcement standards and processes.
The event takes place on Thursday 27 November between 6pm-9pm at the Civic Suite, Solihull, and is free to join. People are asked to register their place online due to limited space.
Solihull Council’s Cabinet Member for Housing, Councillor Mark Parker, said:
“Private-rented landlords play a vital role in helping meet housing needs across Solihull.
“This Forum offers a valuable opportunity for landlords to learn more about the support available to them.
“This will be the first in a new series of biannual meetings and we look forward to seeing as many landlords and managing agents as possible in attendance.”
