Solihull town centre is packed with events and activities this summer, from live music and outdoor theatre to an urban beach, markets and family fun.
Music fans can still grab tickets for Solihull Summerfest at Tudor Grange Park on 18 and 19 July, with the line up including Craig David, Gabrielle, Culture Club and JLS.
Touchwood’s popular summer beach returns to Theatre Square from 18 July to 31 August, with free entertainment including DJ sets, bubble shows and family activities.
The Core Outdoor Theatre comes to Brueton Park this summer. Pack a picnic, bring a chair or blanket and enjoy performances of The Sword in the Stone (25 July), As You Like It (12 August) and The Tales of Peter Rabbit (22 August).
Families can also enjoy Dinosaur Adventure Live: Danger on T-Rex Mountain at The Core Theatre on 28 July - an unforgettable Jurassic experience! The venue will also host cinema screenings of GOAT (29 July) and the Wicked Sing-Along (26 August) bringing big-screen fun to the holidays.
There is a varied programme of creative classes and workshops for children and young people at The Core throughout the holidays. From film making to glass fusing, and circus and aerial adventure workshops, there really is something for everyone!
The Core Library is also running free activities throughout the summer, including the popular Summer Reading Challenge.
Food lovers can visit Easy Streat in Mell Square on 13 August and 10 September, 11am until 8pm, showcasing some of the Midlands’ best street food vendors. Meanwhile, Mell Square Market Week celebrates independent traders with artisan food, crafts, collectibles, fashion and vintage stalls on 11–13 August and 15–17 September,10am until 4pm.
The summer fun doesn't stop there! A fantastic range of activities is taking place across the borough, including family-friendly sessions at our Best Start Family Hubs. Families can also discover local activities, support and services through Solihull Council’s Here2Help this summer campaign, making it easier than ever to stay entertained, connected and supported throughout the holidays.
