Christmas Parking Enforcement Suspension

Released:

Solihull Council has announced that it will again be suspending parking enforcement in residential areas over the Christmas and New Year period.

Parking enforcement will be suspended from Monday 20 December until Monday 3 January. People should still continue to park considerately and safely and continue to comply with the Highway Code.

Relaxation applies to roads subject to single yellow line restrictions only. Parking enforcement will resume as normal from Tuesday 4 January 2022.

Cllr Ken Hawkins, Solihull Council’s Cabinet Member for Environment and Infrastructure, said: “In taking this decision we want to support local people as they visit friends and relatives and enjoy Christmas together, in line with current Government Covid guidelines. Please park considerately and help everyone to have a safe and happy time over the festive period.”
