Released:
People who have had COVID are being asked to donate blood plasma to help the NHS to support the national response to the second wave of coronavirus infections.
Scientists want to collect plasma from those who have recovered from Covid-19 to supply clinical trials as there is some evidence that the plasma could be a significant therapeutic intervention and ultimately save lives.
