Neeraj Malhotra, Deputy Director of Public Health commented:

“COVID figures nationally continue to rise and our local figures remain stubbornly high.

“We know the COVID vaccine is our best line of defence against the virus. It is clear that with emergence of new variants such as Omicron, we need to top up our levels of immunity to give ourselves and our loved ones maximum protection from the virus. So please, get your booster jabs now and don’t the let the virus disrupt your Christmas plans.

“If you are yet to have your 1st or 2nd vaccine dose or your booster then now’s the time to get it.  The virus is still here, still causing mass disruption, increasing pressure on our local NHS services and unfortunately, still deadly.

“We have created this temporary drop-in clinic with Jaguar Land Rover and NHS colleagues to enable residents who may lack the necessary transport, a simple way of getting their vaccine easily – please do use our services to help protect yourself and your community this Christmas."
