The show WILL go on!

Solihull Council is pleased to announce that tickets for this year’s pantomime, ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ to be held at The Core at Artrix, are now on sale.

The new temporary venue will not only play host to this popular festive production from 15 December, but also a number of other shows that were due to be held at The Core Theatre in Solihull.

The Core at Artrix will officially open for performances on Thursday 9 November.

Councillor Karen Grinsell, Deputy Leader of Solihull Council, said: “I am thrilled that we have been able to secure this partnership with Artrix, and present The Core at Artrix.

“This is not only wonderful news for our regular Core Theatre audience, but also for theatre-goers across the region, particularly those in Bromsgrove who have been keen to see Artrix revived.

“I know how much hard work, love and dedication goes into theatre and musical productions, and am so pleased that we have a wonderful venue to host them while work continues in The Core Theatre auditorium.

“I am sure audiences of all ages will thoroughly enjoy the upcoming programme at The Core at Artrix.”

Alan Bowles and Morgan Brind, Co-Producers at Little Wolf Entertainment, who have produced the pantomime at Solihull’s Core Theatre for six years, added:

“We are delighted to be able to keep the magic of pantomime alive by bringing our hugely popular Core Theatre pantomime, to Artrix. 

“We are indebted to everyone who has worked so hard to make this happen, and we can promise a truly gigantic pantomime spectacular, with everything you want for the family to enjoy at Christmas.

“Fe Fi Fo Fum… Artrix, Bromsgrove, is in for some fun!” 

Anita Dale, Chairman of the charity that owns Artrix, added:

“It is fantastic that Artrix will be welcoming audiences once again. It is a fabulous venue, which we have long wanted to see return to its former glory.

“This partnership with Solihull’s Core Theatre will truly reignite the theatre scene in Bromsgrove, and I can’t wait to see audiences filling the seats once again.”

"The team at Bromsgrove Community Arts are looking forward to working with The Core Theatre and welcoming audiences back to Artrix when shows begin.

“We are delighted to be supporting the productions with a team of volunteers covering the front of house and the bar. Everyone is so very excited that our much-loved local arts centre is being brought back to life and the doors are open again.”

Tickets for Jack and the Beanstalk, a Little Wolf Entertainment production, can be purchased on The Core Theatre website.

Upcoming shows at The Core at Artrix include Shrek the Musical, from 14-18 November Paul Zerdin - Puppetman (9 November), Quill 50th Anniversary Finale Concert (10 November) and Queenz (21 November).

Please be aware, only the theatre auditorium at The Core is currently closed. The rest of The Core building is open as usual, including the Courtyard Gallery, the Studio, Encore Café Bar, Core Creatives, Solihull Connect and The Core Library.
