Our frequently asked questions can help you use and understand our booking system for Bickenhill House Waste Recycling Centre.

We have a booking system in place, to help the traffic flow in and around the area and to prevent queues on site and on the local highway network.

Yes, subject to available appointments, you can book and visit on the same day if you are in a car or a vehicle that does not require a permit to use the site.

If you have a permitted vehicle or a hire vehicle, you will need to book a minimum of 48 hours in advance. For example, if you want to visit the site on Wednesday – the latest you can book your appointment is on the Monday of the same week.

The delay is currently necessary to allow us to conduct checks that are required with permit bookings.

We are limiting visits to five per household per week. This is to try to make sure that every household that needs to use this service can book a slot.

Yes, you can book five appointments in a week. The week runs from Monday to Sunday

It may be difficult to book a slot as there is high demand for appointments. New slots will be released regularly, so check back to the booking page regularly.

Each appointment is for 15 minutes.

If you have booked via the website, then you will be able to amend your booking through the email notification that you have received. You will be able to change the time and date of booking as well as vehicle registration. 

If you have booked via the website, then you can cancel your booking through the email notification that you have received. You can cancel your booking up to 24 hours before your appointment.

Please note your booking reference and time and date of your booking and take this with you

Please bring along proof of residency, this could be a utility bill or any other bill with your address on it. This does not need to be a paper copy we can view electronic copies on a smartphone or tablet.

To book an appointment for a relative or friend, you will need to create a booking appointment in their name and address. Where possible, please use a separate email address as well.
