All bins should be:
- out for collection by 6:00am
- left at the edge of your home nearest the public highway or your agreed collection point
Check our bin collection calendar to make sure you are putting your rubbish out on the right week.
Missed food waste collection
Keep your outdoor food waste caddy at the collection point with the lid closed and the handle in the locked position.
Please continue to use your indoor caddy as normal while you wait for us to return.
Missed rubbish collection
Check our collection calendar to make sure you put your bin out on the correct week.
Rubbish is collected on the alternate week to recycling, which is the same week as your garden waste collection (if subscribed).
We will not return to collect your bin if it:
- was presented on the wrong collection week
- was not put out on time
- was left in the wrong place
- contains items we do not collect (please refer to what goes into my container)
- was too heavy
- you have presented additional waste next to your container
You will need to wait until your next scheduled collection.
If we have missed your collection
If your whole street has been missed, leave your wheelie bin or food waste caddy out. We will return as soon as possible.
If only your property has been missed, please wait until after 4:00pm on your scheduled collection day before reporting it. Our rubbish and food waste crews may be working later than usual.
How to report a missed collection
You can report a missed collection from 4:00pm on your collection day.
Let us know about a missed collection
Reports must be made within two working days of the scheduled collection.
What happens next
If your collection was missed by our crew and your container was presented correctly, we will return to empty it within two working days. Please leave it at the collection point until it has been collected.
